Havana Nights in Downtown Fort Myers
Community Cooperative is hosting their 10th Annual Becoming Cosmopolitan Event on October 15, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in the Fort Myers River District. This year’s theme is Havana Nights; a night filled with laughter, great cuisine, and remarkable people. Did I mention salsa dancing?
We are very excited to be a major sponsor for the Becoming Cosmopolitan Event. The staff at Community Cooperative have been hard at work preparing for this event, and making sure this event blows last year’s event out of the water. Around 300 local women attended last fall’s event! More importantly the money raised will benefit the growing number of women and children in Southwest Florida who are in desperate need of food and shelter. Are you ready for the excitement of a great event for a greater cause?
For more information regarding the event call (239) 461-2802 or visit Becoming Cosmopolitan!
Lonely Planet describes Havana Cuba perfectly: “No one could have invented Havana. It’s too audacious, too contradictory, and – despite 50 years of withering neglect – too damned beautiful. How it does it, is anyone’s guess. Maybe it’s the swashbuckling history, the survivalist spirit, or the indefatigable salsa energy that ricochets off the walls and emanates most emphatically from people. Don’t come here looking for answers. Just arrive with an open mind and prepare yourself for a long, slow seduction.” – We can’t wait to see what Becoming Cosmopolitan is all about in Downtown Fort Myers.
