Bonita Springs, FL (September 24, 2018) – Atilus, a full-service web development and digital marketing firm, celebrated its 13-year anniversary on September 21, 2018. Atilus was founded in 2005 by two Florida Gulf Coast University students, Zach Katkin and Harry Casimir.
Originally named “Unique ID Web Design,” Casimir and Katkin changed the name in 2007 to “Atilus,” named after Casimir’s grandfather. What first started as freelance work for Casimir and Katkin turned into a full-service digital agency, offering web design, web development, digital marketing, and web hosting.
The company was originally started in Casimir’s apartment in Bonita Springs and has since moved into its own commercial space. It now employs 8 full-time staff, most of whom are also Florida Gulf Coast University graduates. Atilus’ clients include many local companies in the Southwest Florida area, but also include companies all over the country across many different industries.
“It’s been incredible to think about the growth we’ve seen over the last 13 years. We’re so thankful for those year and look forward to continue to service more clients in the digital space,” says Casimir. “We also need to thank the people that helped make us a success over the last 13 years: our clients, our partners, our friends, and most importantly, our team.”
Atilus frequently engages with the Southwest Florida community through local events and charity sponsorships. As they started at the university and majority of their staff are graduates, the company is very involved in the Florida Gulf Coast University community. Cofounder and CTO Harry Casimir serves as a Board Member on the FGCU Foundation Board of Directors. Kristen Bachmeier, the Director of Operations, serves on the Marketing Advisory Board for the Lutgert College of Business and frequently returns to the FGCU campus to speak to FGCU students.
Atilus has worked on over 1,500 projects and serves clients nationwide. For more information, visit www.atilus.com.
