We’re excited to be taking part in Literacy Council Gulf Coast and Internal Medicine Associates’ Classic 5K Run/Walk! Taking place at Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers, the 5K is being held to raise funds for Literacy Council.
Literacy Council Gulf Coast, an organization based out of Bonita Springs, FL, has a distinct mission: “to assist adults and children to acquire the literacy skills necessary to improve their quality of life.” By providing free instructions to adults in reading/writing, offering a Moms and Tots Family literacy program, and many other activities, Literacy Council provides priceless education to those who need it.
Our cofounder and Director of Operations, Harry Casimir, serves on the board for Literacy Council Gulf Coast and holds its mission close to his heart. When first arriving in Florida from Haiti at 15 years old, Harry was unable to speak English, but has since gone on to start Atilus and a telecommunications located in Haiti (Dixivox).
“I’m excited that some of my Atilus team will be there with me to show support for Literacy Council Gulf Coast. We’re honored to be part of such a great organization.”
