Breaking News – Google Changes its Name to Topeka

Topeka AKA GoogleI was a bit stunned to find out this morning that Google has officially changed its name to “Topeka.” This ofcourse is in response to the Mayor of Topeka, Kansas, changing the City formerly known as “Topeka” to Google. According to Google’s blog:

Early last month the mayor of Topeka, Kansas stunned the world by announcing that his city was changing its name to Google. We’ve been wondering ever since how best to honor that moving gesture. Today we are pleased to announce that as of 1AM (Central Daylight Time) April 1st, Google has officially changed our name to Topeka.

Thank God! I personally was getting sick of saying “did you Google me?” and look forward to being…

Topeka’d?
