Jill Kushner, Realtor, is the go-to person for all real estate in The Colony at Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs, Florida. With over 10 years of real estate experience in The Colony alone, Jill Kushner was in need of a new website to reflect the type of high-end, comprehensive real estate services she offers.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Bonita Springs area, The Colony is a community within Pelican Landing that is comprised of a variety of high-end, luxurious residences. From high-rises with a view to single family homes, The Colony is the place to be in Bonita Springs if a luxurious lifestyle with abundant amenities is what you seek.
The Problem: An Outdated Website & Online Presence
To put it simply, Jill’s previous website was good. The design was cohesive with her brand, it showcased the homes, and it provided potential buyers/sellers a way to contact Jill. However, in our own research on the site, it was not optimized as well as it could have been for search engines and had a ton of technical errors.
In addition to the above, there were a variety of technical things that needed to be tended to. For example, a real estate website’s purpose is to show new homes for sale, homes that have been sold, and any pending sales. However, over time, it seems that the IDX feeds were not configured to show accurate listings (a BIG problem).
We firmly believe that a great performing website is comprised of a few things: a great design, ease-of-use for the client’s target market, and proper search engine optimization and as such, we addressed all of these items with Jill, which led to us providing the following:

- Website development
- Overall SEO overhaul (altering the structure, code, and overall content)
- Overall technical issues (IDX feeds)
The Solution: A Custom Designed Website with SEO and IDX Integration
In our first meeting with Jill, there was one thing that she made clear: residents move to The Colony because of the lifestyle it offers.
The Colony in Bonita Springs is not your average community. With 900 homes, The Colony overlooks Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and offers an exclusive golf course, a 7,000 square-foot spa/fitness center, a kayak/canoe park, private, waterfront dining, and so much more. With such luxurious amenities and lifestyles, it was important that Jill’s website represent that same message through design.
Using a variety of brand new imagery from Jill (thank you again, Jill!), we were able to create a stunning design showing the luxurious nature of the homes she sells.
In addition to a great design, it was also important to Jill that the available listings in each community were presented in a nice way. With that, we integrated her IDX with the website, customized the appearance, and provided her with beautiful and easy-to-use real estate listings.

The Results: An Immediate Increase in Visits

Also, Jill’s website has never performed badly in organic search rankings. I remember seeing her site in the top 5 for relevant searches. However, now, you can see she’s climbed to #1!
