Newton Distributing, Inc. is in Massachusetts and is one of the top distributors of commercial bathroom products in the Northeast, including their flagship product, the XLERATOR hand dryer. Atilus has worked with Newton Distributing in some capacity for over 8 years and this project focused solely on a new website and digital marketing plan.
When we began this project, we had 2 major goals to accomplish.
Increase Sales Online.
Create a website easy to use for customers and Newton’s staff .
The website’s previous architecture was difficult to work with and find products. With the help of the Newton Distributing’s team, we created a sitemap that highlighted their top products (XLERTAOR hand dryers and toilet partitions to name a couple) and provided some organization to the overall presentation of the site.
Responsive design was key for Newton Distributing. The previous site was not responsive and did not render properly on phones, tablets, and other devices. Countless hours were spent testing the site on devices (iPhones, Androids, tablets, etc.) and making sure products could be purchased. Even a year after the site went live, we are still testing/tweaking to ensure the site works on mobile.
Search engine optimization started with the website’s structure. From there, we took the necessary steps to make sure the site was solid from an SEO perspective. This included adding meta tags, setting up redirects from the old website, and other steps as a part of our post-launch list.
Once the site went live, Atilus was tasked with creating a digital marketing plan. Tactics included blogging, Google AdWords management, social media posts, email newsletters, call tracking, and more. Our development team also is in charge of monitoring the website on a weekly basis to test every aspect of the website ensuring optimal performance.
