When Harry and I started Atilus back in 2005, a big part of our goals included giving back to Southwest Florida as often as possible. One organization and cause we’re honored to support is Voices for Kids, a nonprofit organization that supports the Guardian ad Litem Program in Southwest Florida.
The Guardian ad Litem Program consists of a statewide network of professional staff and volunteer child advocates who partner to provide a strong voice for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in court, their schools, and in the community. Upon learning more about this program and its support from Voices for Kids (a 501(c)(3) organization), I knew I wanted to find a way to become more involved and help in their mission.
I now serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Voices for Kids and I am wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting our mission in giving these children a voice, advocacy, and the sense of normalcy every child deserves. Our goal is to raise the funds necessary to recruit and train volunteer advocates to provide the resources that allow them to address the unmet social, educational, and medical needs of the children they represent. However, we can’t do it alone, and that’s why I’m inviting you to join us for our Lee & Collier County Signature Fundraisers: Make the Night Bright…for Abused, Neglected, and Abandoned Children.
Each event will feature live and silent auctions, as well as heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. In addition, each event will feature different entertainment options, including a Beatles exhibit and the Peter Duchin Trio.
To attend either event, the ticket price is a $125 donation. Also, two people may attend for a donation of $175. If you are unable to attend, we also are happy to receive donations to provide our children with things like a week a tutoring, clothing, and other necessary items.
