The World Wide Web is a pretty big place with A LOT of big players. That’s how I like to think of the “online world” – as an actual place. That’s what it is. There are innovators, audiences, leaders, and actual places to go. Rather than take this post to talk about current trends, news, etc. (there’s plenty of time for that), I want to dedicate a 4-part series of posts to some of the most widely respected web gurus – online leaders and people to emulate. I am just now jumping into the world of web business and as an intern for Atilus, I have been asked to read and gain more knowledge of these people and their influences.
Here is the beginning of what I’ve learned about these inspiring people.
Aaron Wall: SEOBook.com
SEOBook.com is a leading Search Engine Optimization website founded by Aaron Wall. Aaron’s website is an SEO training program providing support for members and users through videos, tools, member forums, etc. to help them master the use of SEO to grow a business. It has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, USA Today, Forbes.com, and Business Week.
This website offers tips, tricks, advice, search analysis, and online business tips to its members. The site launched in 2003, and is one of the oldest SEO sites that is still updated frequently. This website is an awesome tool for people who want to take their online presence to new heights through the use of SEO.
Rand Fishkin: SEOmoz.com
Referred to as “The Wizard of Moz” on his website, SEOmoz, Rand Fishkin is the CEO of SEOmoz. This company provides SEO management made easy and is the largest SEO community on the web. For an SEO campaign, SEOmoz provides on-page recommendations, on-point competitive analysis, and continual improvement in your campaign and performance. I’m a big fan of their TAGFEE Mission: Transparent and Authentic, Generous, Fun, Empathetic, and Exceptional.
